Nine years ago today – August 1 – we opened our doors in a new office with a new staff. Today, we have a new team, preparing to launch into the Fall 2023 semester. Our team continues the CCSA legacy of providing the best possible, short-term study abroad programs for our students, faculty, and member institutions.
Steven Farley, Casey Hindman and David Nelson contributed to our success before moving on.
And of course… Robin Byerly, who will leave us at the end of this month.
Nine years ago, we moved (back) to Western Kentucky University. And what a year 2023 has been — thus far.
We started the year with a big and enthusiastic group of students and faculty in London and Australia. We traveled amid ice storms and delays, but arrived – albeit late for some – in our locations and jumped right into global teaching and learning.
We moved into spring with two Custom Global programs in London, then followed those in May with three more Custom programs and three Catalog programs. We finished our Summer 2023 programs in July, and now turn our attention to Winter 2023-24 programs.
And we also kick-off the planning and development of seven Summer 2024 catalog programs, along with three Custom programs. A busy 2024 is just down the road.
The transition to the new team has gone relatively smoothly considering the monumental changes with three new staff members coming on board over just a few weeks between April and June. Our CCSA member institutions expect a lot from us, and we are ready to deliver on our commitments.
Please join me in saying, “THANK YOU” to the team — current and former.

CCSA is a membership organization and serves our members by providing a means to support their students, faculty and goals for international education. We are not simply a “program provider.” The member institutions, guided by the CCSA Board of Trustees, own and operate CCSA.
We look forward to providing exciting global learning courses now and into the future in collaboration with our member institutions, our faculty, our on-site teams, and especially our students.
