We are pleased to announce that Denise Knisely will join the CCSA team as the new Program Coordinator.
Denise begins June 1 and will work closely with Robin Byerly as we conduct our summer programs, proceed toward winter, and develop the summer 2024 programs.
Denise will focus on CCSA catalog programs in partnership with the CCSA team and faculty from our member institutions. She brings proven experience with program management, enjoys working with people, and is solution-focused with excellent skills to work with a wide array of individuals.
Denise shared that she is very excited to join the CCSA team and she’s always been a cheerleader for study abroad programs. She added, “I think that every student should be able to discover the world beyond their doorstep. Now I am fortunate to be able to help create those possibilities and hear the stories they bring back. “
Areas that Denise will have the opportunity to enhance include both faculty and on-site administrator professional development. As someone who has taught and served as an administrator, Denise brings a special skill set that will enable CCSA to improve our effectiveness for our member institutions.
Denise joins us from Northern Kentucky University where she has taught anthropology courses for several years. As her colleague wrote, “Denise has a very high level of attention to detail and she is highly organized. She does any task you give her efficiently, effectively, and with a smile.” Skills that will be a tremendous asset to CCSA as she works remotely from Cincinnati.
Denise recently defended her dissertation for her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, a very appropriate achievement as CCSA facilitates effective global teaching and learning.
Denise will also serve as the Assistant Director on our Ireland program this summer.

CCSA is a membership organization and serves our members by providing a means to support their students, faculty and goals for international education. We are not simply a “program provider.” The member institutions, guided by the CCSA Board of Trustees, own and operate CCSA.
