CCSA’s Storyteller Scholarship is designed to encourage student creativity and storytelling through personal narrative.

Meet the Winter 22-23 Storyteller Scholars.


Lexi Bigard – Eastern Kentucky University – London & Dublin

Lexi is Public Relations major. Some of her interests are writing for the school paper, painting, reading and photography. She wrote in her acceptance message, “I hope to one day become a lawyer or PR Specialist who can give future creators and social media influencers advice to make informed decisions to lead them to success.”

Jeremiah Jackson – Northern Kentucky University – London Winter

Jackson plans to use his training as an Electronic Media and Broadcasting minor to create a video showcasing the experiences that he had while on the trip. He wrote in his scholarship application, “Coming from a small town in South Central Kentucky, I had wished for the opportunity to see the world and experience new and exciting walks of life other than my own.” He add that traveling to London sounded like the opportunity of a lifetime, and “I knew I had to go on this trip no matter what it took.”

Alyssa Keuper – Northern Kentucky University – London & Dublin

Keuper is a junior, studying Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Entrepreneurship. She plans on opening her own orthodontic practice after college and dental school. She wrote, “Attending this study abroad in London and Dublin will greatly enhance my business management knowledge and better prepare me for this future goal.”

Emma Roach – Murray State University – Australia

Roach is a Junior and a Murray, KY native. She hopes to learn about how climate change is affecting Australia’s ecosystems, as well as I hope to learn about Australia’s culture and how it has played a role in how their wildlife and environment is maintained. She added, “I am very excited for this opportunity to see more of the world, and the opportunity to meet lots of new people and learn about a new culture!”
