As we approach the official end of spring and move into summer – who could tell with 100-degree days – we take a look at how things are going for CCSA Summer 2022 programs.
First … the big news. On June 12, the CDC removed the requirement that everyone traveling to the United States confirm a negative COVID-19 test one day before travel. The first beneficiaries of this decision were those on the Ireland: One Island, Two Nation group (see previous blog post). After the announcement, we updated our guidance and recommendations for participants (found here).
Second … summer programs proceed as planned. We’ve completed three Custom Global programs – Bermuda (spring break), London (EKU), and London-Liverpool-Dublin (ETSU) — and two Catalog programs – Belize: Land & Sea and the aforementioned Ireland. Currently, the England & Scotland group is in heading toward Fort William in western Scotland. They return to the States on June 20.
The first London-based programs begin on July 17, so there will be more about those in the coming weeks.
Third … CCSA continues to celebrate our 40th anniversary and more stories will be added to the collection later in the summer. If you have stories you’d like to share, please reach out to Marcie Hinton, Jeffrey Williams or Casey Hindman. If your an alum of a CCSA program, you can share your story here.
Fourth … we also host our latest noncredit program in the Fall of 2022. Ireland: Landscape, History & Culture takes place October 6 – 19 as a group of intrepid livelong learners traverse Ireland to learn and share together.
Fifth … with CCSA on more solid footing, we look forward to a great set of courses in our Winter 22-23 programs. Many students have already started their applications, so there is high interest that will be nurtured in the coming months. The big push will begin at start of the Fall semester so we hope to see active participation by our member institutions.
Sixth … a bit of teaser here. We will announce the Summer 2023 catalog soon and we have another great set of new and experienced faculty and on-site administrators in the works.
Celebrate CCSA’s 40 years of service to our students, faculty, and member institutions.
We look forward to providing exciting global learning courses now and into the future in collaboration with our member institutions, our faculty, our on-site teams, and especially our students.
