Belize offers students the chance to step-out-of-comfort-zone a bit more. CCSA offers two long-running programs in this Caribbean location that offer very different global learning experiences.

Belize is home to one of the worlds most diverse ecosystems. From the interior rainforests to endangered coral reefs, you will examine first-hand a level of biodiversity that will make your head spin. For anyone with BIO in their major, Belize is a must-go location to advance your studies. All STEM majors will benefit from a deeper understanding of the natural world.
But it doesn’t stop there. Belize calls to students seeking adventure from any major since are not pre-req for the Tropical Biology course.
Students will stay at the Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center, followed by Blue Creek – a small Mayan Village (land), before journeying to South Water Caye (sea). And all meals are provided.
Dr. Tracy Livingston (Georgetown College) brings her teaching expertise and program administrator Dr. Tim Griffith (Georgetown College) provides the non-teaching support – along with is own expertise in tropical biology. Our on-site experts and support team make this opportunity an excellent choice for adventurous learners looking for something new.

Spend a month contributing to the on-going ethnographic research at Orange Walk. Guided by Dr. Doug Hume from the Center for Applied Anthropology at Northern Kentucky University, this program enables you to directly impact real-world challenges.
